Thanks so much for the generous donations that made it possible to buy the CellaVision DC-1 unit, at a cost of $45,000. We are pleased to announce that it was installed this morning in the Lab at WCGH. The CellaVision DC-1 is designed to automate and simplify the process of performing blood cell differentials in low-volume laboratories. It improves efficiency and connectivity, giving Medical Technologists more time to focus on what really matters – the detection of abnormal cells and first-class service delivery to clinicians. Again, thank you to all our donors!

New CellaVision at West Coast General Hospital Speeds Blood Testing Requirements
Digital Cell Morphology by CellaVIslon: A unique technology that meets one of the last remaining automation gaps In routlne hematology testing: the process of performing cell differentials. CellaVIslon technology provides a new and more efficient approach to performing cell differentials.
The CellaVIslon DC-i is designed to automate andslmpilfy the process of performing blood cell differentials in low-volume laboratories like ours at WCGH. The system allows both stand-alone and networked installation. When used in a smaller satellite site in a health network like ours, the CellaVIsIon 001 allows the process and review of blood smears locally and remotely as well as Improving collaboration with colleagues and morphology experts at other sites. This results in faster and more standardized test results.
