Welcome to the WCGH Foundation
Our Foundation is the key fundraising partner of the West Coast General Hospital. The hospital serves the Alberni Valley, the West Coast communities of Bamfield, Ucluelet and Tofino, and all points in between. The Foundation raises funds to support capital projects that are beyond the budgetary limits of the Hospital to ensure our whole community benefits from enhanced healthcare services. In 29 years of operation, together with our generous donors, we have raised over $4,000,000 to purchase or assist in the purchase of vital equipment for our hospital.

Jowsey's Helps the Foundation buy a Panda Warmer for the West Coast General Hospital
During the entire month of October, Jowsey's supported our effort to raise money for the purchase of a Panda Warmer. The third-generation owner of Jowsey’s, Jennifer Norn, says the Jowsey family has a connection to the hospital as her father served on the hospital board. Now the family is giving again to the hospital. To raise the funds needed, Jowsey’s will donate all their delivery fees for October and will host a silent auction in their store with donated items from local businesses plus some from their own suppliers.
The Panda Warmer is a vital piece of equipment to keep newly arrived babies warm. It includes an integrated resuscitation package and is considered the gold standard in delivery rooms across Canada and the United States. Jowsey's and friends were able to donate $2355 towards our purchase of the Panda warmer and already a newborn baby girl says
thank you... one day she’ll be part of the next generation of Jowsey’s customers.

Westhaven Multi-Level Care is a long-term senior care facility located on the WCGH grounds.
