Emergency Challenge April Updates

The Challenge is on…..


“LCol Don Chipman (Ret’d) challenges all Veterans and friends of Veterans

to donate what they can to the Emergency Department expansion.

Don will match all donations to a total of $5,000.”

Many donations are made without a Challenge and this is great. Thank you very much.

  • The RCMP Veterans Association Central Vancouver Island Division made a $500 donation.

  • Grade 7 students from St. John Paul II Catholic School gave $77.25 from their Junior Achievement project.

  • Crystal Knudsen responded to the Rotarian challenge with a $100 donation.

  • Rhianna Holden from REMAX responded to Karen Maika challenge with a $100 donation.

  • Seniors are challenged to give their one-time $300 payment from the Federal gov’t.

  • Dawn and Larry McGifford challenge all Rotarians to meet or beat $100 or give what they can.

  • Real & Janine Langford challenge all Snowbirds who stayed home to match $200.

  • Alberni Valley Charity Golf Classic donated $7,250 and challenge all the active players.

  • John Campbell made a $250,000 donation toward a Naming Recognition.


No challenge is too small to raise $2 million for the Emergency Department, and every

dollar raised gets theWCGH Foundation one-step closer to achieving its fundraising goal.
